Mister Mac, the plank walkin’est pirate ever to shiver a timber, was born Aloysius MacKnucklepeck on a small island off the coast of Scotland. The third of four sons born to Angus and Barabal MacKnucklepeck, Aloysius (al-oh-ish-us) readily took to the ways of the ocean and began working on his father’s boat at the young age of 6 years old. But he was not content to be a just a fisherman and spent most of his youth daydreaming of adventure and age 14 he enlisted in the Royal Navy where he rapidly rose to the position of Boatswain’s Mate. Appearing to be older than he actually was made it easier for him to earn the respect of his fellow crewmen. But it was his undying loyalty that earned their trust and friendship. |

While a mate on the Revenger, Mister Mac was the sole survivor of a shipwreck in the south Pacific. He managed to salvage several needed supplies from the wreckage and made himself a home near the western slope of a volcano. The island was inhabited by many forms of wildlife including monkeys, parrots, boars, frogs, and a leopard . Mister Mac was able to fashion himself clothing from animal skins and spent much of his days exploring, reading, and befriending the animals. He would spend long hours on the shoreline scouting for signs of a ship that might provide him with a return to civilization. Several times he saw ships come over the horizon but soon realized that they were of the Malay Pirates and that they would never rescue a Scotsman. So he hid until the enemies had departed. After two and a half years, he sighted the notorious pirate vessel The Golden Blade and at last rescue came his way. Mister Mac was given the choice, become a pirate or die! He wisely chose the first option and found the life and adventure of being a pirate to be more profitable and liberating than that of being a sailor in the British Royal Navy. But after spending so many peaceful days marooned, Mister Mac grew weary of the greed and brutish nature of some pirates and after the Great Raid of '06 Mister Mac and those crew loyal to him went off on their own and now search the Seven Seas for treasure, knowledge, and adventure. Standing at over six and a half feet tall, with cold green eyes, powerful baritone voice, bald head, four-inch scar of a long ago fought battle on his forehead, and bearing the facial hair of his native land, he is a considerable presence to be reckoned with. Yet, those who know the real Mister Mac, the one who sings and dances with the children, the one who helps the elderly woman reach the item on the top shelf at the market, the one who will share a part of his sandwich with a fellow crewman, the one who learned to iron clothes from his Grandma, know that he is not the menacing ogre he may appear to be but rather a gentle giant who cares deeply for others and has made thousands of children smile with his playful antics and his sing-along pirate songs. Mister Mac is the only person ever to walk the plank off of the Star of India, built in 1863. He has sailed the waters off of California as well as the Gulf Coast of Florida and the waters between Ecuador and Panama. Despite his jovial exterior, those who cross him or betray his trust will see another side. Mister Mac can unleash a torrent of damage that is unrivaled in ferocity and power like that of a hungry great white shark tearing into its prey or an angry grizzly bear defending its cub. A fierce swordsman and crack-shot who will take the battle to anyone who dares to steal his ship, harm his crew…..or plunder his treasure. |
