Mister Mac the Pirate in San Diego

The H.M.S. Surprise is a sixth-rate, 24-gun frigate that is currently docked at the San Diego Maritime Museum. It was originally built as the H.M.S. Rose based on the plans of the original Rose that was built in 18th century. It's more recent claim to fame is that it was used as the ship in Master and Commander - The Far Side of the World starring Russell Crowe as Captain Jack Aubrey. But then in May of '06....it was taken over by by a band or scurvy dog pirates!!!
